Monumental Inscription Search

Devon Family History Society has an ongoing project to photograph gravestones, the current database contains over 105,400 names linked to 71,620 photos, this is updated on a regular basis so please revisit from time to time. There is also an additional 96,000 names without photos available to members.

The Devon Family History Society

The Society’s objects are to promote the study of genealogy and history, especially of Devon families and places, to educate the public therein through advice and instruction, and, for the public benefit, to encourage the preservation and transcription of relevant documents and records, especially for the county of Devon.

Tree House Research Centre

Tree House is the Society’s research centre in Exeter, we can help people to find their ancestors wherever they come from.

All Group, committee and most face to face meetings are still suspended. We are maintaining contact electronically using ZOOM, including a programme of regular well attended talks/meetings. TREE HOUSE

It is no longer necessary, to book an appointment at Tree House.
We will still have some measures in place to ensure the safety of both visitors and volunteers
We are open on Mondays (except Bank Holidays) from 10.30 - 4.00
Tuesdays from 10.30 - 4.00
Thursdays from 10.30 - 4.00 (closed Thursday 2 June 2022)
