The Story of Plymouth Barbican: Then and Now (Chris Robinson and Alan Tibbitts)

The story of Plymouth Barbican is a delightful mix of nostalgic photographic images and archive film footage updated from a contemporary perspective by cameraman Alan Tibbitts and presented, with historic insights, by Chris Robinson.
Together they take us on a fascinating tour of the heart of old Plymouth visiting, amongst other places: the Elizabethan House, Merchant?s house, Plymouth Gin Distillery, and the National Marine Aquarium. The film explains how the area became a popular tourist destination and it includes a rare interview with the late, Barbican related artist, Robert Lenkiewicz.
